Does ByeBed work without the internet?
Yes, mostly. All core alarm functions and most missions work offline. Only the Photo mission requires internet (for image recognition by Google's Gemini API).
Offline by default
Alarms, math, push-ups (camera-based, fully on-device), shake, drawing, all mini-games — none need internet. Your alarms ring whether or not you're connected.
Photo mission exception
The Photo mission sends one photo to a Cloudflare Worker that relays it to Google Gemini AI for object recognition. Without internet, this mission cannot be used (the app switches to another mission you've selected).
Privacy
Photos sent for recognition are not stored by ByeBed and not used for training. See the privacy policy for details.
