What is ByeBed?

ByeBed is an iOS alarm app with 12 missions (math, push-ups via Apple Vision, photo of sky / made bed / object, drawing, maze, memory pairs, memory sequence, Snake, Flappy Bird, shake). The alarm only stops when you complete a mission. It exists to break the snooze habit by making snoozing impossible.

How it works

Instead of a snooze button, ByeBed presents one of 12 missions when the alarm fires. The alarm stays on until the mission is complete. The catalog covers math, photo of sky / made bed / random object (on-device recognition), push-ups counted by the front camera via Apple Vision body pose, shake, drawing, maze navigation, memory pairs, memory sequence (Simon Says), Snake, and Flappy Bird.

Why missions

Research shows cognitive activation immediately after waking shortens sleep inertia. The Trotti (2017) review explicitly recommends tasks that demand attention as the fastest path out of grogginess.
